After some consideration to how I would like to see my business, I have decided to change my business name to Blue Koi Fine Art. But exclusively creating art with painting, drawing, etc. I will no longer be selling crochet or jewelry. I do some photography, but the nucleus will be art created by me. 

Earlier this month I attended DBQ Fest in Dubuque, IA where I was able to sell some originals, and prints. The Macaw and Beauty were too good to pass up and have gone to wonderful homes. I met a lot of amazing people and hope they have me back next year! 

I am looking to enter in some other activities in the next few months and possibly dip into some teaching classes but that is in the future.

So I have decided to change the name once again to evolve the brands image as more art than crafts. I have gone with a simple name, Blue Koi Fine Art. I have gone in more of a direction that fits what I am wanting for the future of my business. Hopefully this will be the last name change. I will most likely be phasing out the knitting and jewelry. I want to concentrate on one thing that I love, and creating art is that. I am continuing to try and post pricing for prints and originals. Please be patient. Admin is not strong in me. lol. I am working on adding items to the shop for purchase. Please be patient. My administrative skills are horrible and it is one of the things I am trying to improve on. 

Also I had the opportunity to participate in my first gallery for Riverview Center, called Hope and Healing Gallery. I met a lot of awesome people. And got a lot of positive exposure. More good things to come I hope.

I know 2020 has been a heck of a year. From murder wasps, to covid, wild fires, and a derecho in my city of Cedar Rapids in Iowa. But we have persevered as a community the best we can. I did not do as many craft shows as I had hoped, and thats ok. Hopefully there is more of an opportunity next year. So I am wish you and your family, happiness and health for the upcoming holidays and into the new year!

So the weather is starting to turn towards fall and that means, ear warmers, scarves, mittens, and of course... beanies. I have been working hard to make some knit beanies for adults and children. I have just started making resin jewelry, from necklaces, to earrings. It is a new and fun challenge that I think people that purchase them will enjoy for a long time.
